Paint Log Paint Log - 3/16/13

Not dead... just really busy... Getting married tends to do that!  It's been rather hectic since then with the honeymoon and getting everything back to "normal" order.

At any rate, since it's been a while, here's a couple of the latest things models I've been working on. None are completely finished yet, but this is just to post some images up. (Click for larger images)

Ghetorix - So far, I've only had a chance to play with him once. Pretty effective model. The "Snacking" bit was actually rather fun.

Still working on the axe, hands, fur tufts, and a few odds n'ends.

This big guy has been taking up most of my painting time since I got him as a birthday gift from my wife. Haven't tried him out on the table yet - I'm waiting until he's finished before I do that.  I'm still not sure what to do for his base. I have some great ideas, but I lack the supplies (and technical skills) to pull them off right. Still working on it.

Still in progress, obviously. I found it was a lot easier to paint him
in pieces and assemble him as I went along.

Assorted touch-ups will be done towards the end, after the major parts have been painted.

I love the sheer amount of detail work they added to this model, particularly the growing creepers/vines.
